Christine Eads was born and raised in the small town of Spring Hill, Kansas.
Early on, Christine knew she wanted to be in the entertainment business. As a child, she would often perform plays with her sisters and parents. Her first play, which she wrote and also starred in with her cousin, was about married robots and had its world debut at a family reunion. It was quite an auspicious beginning!
After graduating from George Mason University with a BFA in Theatre, Christine was cast in the role of Gwyneth Paltrow’s stand-in, stunt double and dead mother in the movie Hush. After Hush, Christine packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles where she worked on Lois & Clark. Four years later she decided to move back to the DC area where she became the spokesperson for Fitzgerald Auto Mall and hosted the Washington, DC show, Hot on Homes. She also landed commercial and voice over work, which led to being the traffic reporter for XM Radio covering the Los Angeles and Detroit areas.
Christine’s aha moment came while she was working in radio she conceived and pitched Broadminded, a show created by and hosted by women, for women (and men!). Since the show’s launch, Christine’s co-host/partner-in-crime has been Molly Dedham. The two met as college seniors and have been best friends for over 20 years, which gives them lots to talk about. Their camaraderie is infectious, their connection genuine. The show displays their intellect and also their capacity for silliness. Name it, they’ll talk about it. Broadminded debuted on XM Radio in October 2005 and ran until 2013.
The Duffy House, which Christine created and founded in 2008, is a non-profit organization committed to providing support, safety while encouraging personal growth, happiness, and independence for women and their children who are survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
Currently, Christine loves living close to her family and resides in Virginia along with her son, Aidan.
